Higher Education University of New Mexico – Valencia County
The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a community college founded in 1979 to serve Valencia County and Northern Socorro County. UNM-Valencia Campus is a branch of the University of New Mexico and has an elected Advisory Board. It serves the post-secondary educational needs of our citizens as well as a cultural center for our community.
The Valencia Campus, a branch college of UNM, is an open access, student centered institution which offers a variety of associate degrees, certificate and credential programs. Our courses provide basic skills, transfer credits, technical career training and non-credit adult and community education. UNM-Valencia Campus is under the specific direction of the UNM-Valencia Campus Director who reports to the Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs of the University of New Mexico.
