ALBUQUERQUE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AED is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to recruit new employers and industry and help local companies grow to generate quality job opportunities for the Albuquerque metro area. “We serve as an umbrella organization to promote investment in Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance and Valencia counties. With support from investors and allies in the public sector, AED actively recruits those companies that will export goods or services from New Mexico, thereby bringing new investment dollars to the state. By contributing to the area's economic growth, development and diversification, these economic base jobs improve the standard of living and opportunities within the Albuquerque area.”

VILLAGE OF LOS LUNAS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT The Village of Los Lunas and the Community Development Department are committed to supporting our local businesses. Whether you are starting a new business or relocating an established company to the Village, our economic development team stands ready to help you succeed. Los Lunas is a friendly, pro-development community located 20 minutes from downtown Albuquerque, and easily accessed off the major Interstate 25. As the second fastest growing city in the state, we proudly offer a fast, 3 week or less approval process of commercial and residential plans.

MRCOG The MRCOG mission is to strengthen individual communities by identifying and initiating regional planning strategies through open dialogue and collaboration between the member governments. The MRCOG is the metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the Albuquerque Metropolitan Planning Area (AMPA). A major responsibility of the MPO is coordinate with federal, state, and local transportation planning organizations to develop the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) which identifies the transportation planning priorities for the Albuquerque metropolitan area. The MRCOG also serves as the agent for the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

UNM VALENCIA CAMPUS The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is located in Tomé, New Mexico, halfway between Belen and Los Lunas, the two main population centers of Valencia County. The campus occupies 150 acres of rural land overlooking the Rio Grande Valley to the West, the Manzano Mountains to the East, and historic Tomé Hill to the North. As a branch college of The University of New Mexico, UNM-Valencia is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The institution’s last comprehensive accreditation review occurred in April 2009, resulting in a full 10-year reaffirmation of accreditation.

NEW MEXICO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT The mission of the New Mexico Economic Development Department is to Enhance and leverage a competitive environment to create jobs, develop the tax base and provide incentives for business development. Our programs and initiatives support our mission. The New Mexico Partnership is a statutorily-created public-private organization under contract to the department to market the state globally in order to attract new jobs and investment. Department programs provide direct assistance to New Mexico businesses and communities. Programs and services for businesses can be found in the Business Resource Center. EDD also administers several programs that support Community Development.
